Last July  Rob and I decided to do some 2-handed sailing. We were both looking for a project that would be enjoyable but challenging, something new but familiar. All along the idea of racing Round the North Island was there, but we played it day by day. Until about a month ago when the entries opened for the race, and it was now or never, I filled in the form and clicked the send button, now we had to have a plan until at least the first week in March 2011.

Our next race is on July 3rd. In preparation Rob is busy with more boat work, including building a new navigation station to house our PC running EXPEDITION navigation and yatch race software. I have a very different list of jobs, getting the eletronics to work and getting fitter.
