Tough postcards

Well we finally have the postcard. Really truely perfect. But kids dont
ever try this!!!!.

The last day has been brain numbingly tough. Our delayed restart that we
hoped would set us up with better weather left us really struggling for
wind, with a left over sea that shakes the boat really hard. We got
about 20nm off Milford sound this morning and parked up hard, loosing
steerage. A perfect view our only consolation. The forecast wasnt
looking good, a real lack of wind. You get a puff for an hour only to
have it die again.

Happily this afternoon we have picked up some "keepers", turned on the
stereo and actually started to enjoy it again. At the moment we have
wind at 260M about 8 knots we are going down the course at about 7knots
with about 100 miles to go before the bottom of the South island. Not a
cloud in the sky, champagne sailing (chilled) as Sally just said. If we
get a few hours out of this breeze we will be very happy.

p.s. if you would like to get a postcard like this a shop would be so
much easier.

Cheers Rob....

Also from Rob.. Hello to Conrad, Bailey and Nathan, be good boys.

From Sally ... Have just started eating Mrs Croft's date loaf, after
the peanut brownies were "inhaled" over the last two days. We had
toasted date loaf for afternoon tea, it was fresh and beautiful, hard
decision which was better, the weetbix slice, the brownies or the date
loaf, thanks Kathleen
