Auckland to Niue

A quick thanks to Charles Stutz, of Dreamcatcher for the trip to Niue. We had a great trip, a bit over 1400NM in 8 days. Extremely cold at first as we left in a cold snap that had frost ice on the dock the morning that we left, we held onto southerly sector winds pretty much the whole way, with some good solid trade winds the last few days (from about latitude 28S).

It was a nice light training run for me, (actually real luxury after racing on Expedition Coppelia, with electric winches, a dodger, good autopilot, shower etc) but good to be at sea for a week on a two person watch.

Charles and Marie are having an excellent time in Niue which is a great place,  check out their website : http://web.me.com/stutzcj/SYDreamcatcher
