Promoted as New Zealand's Ultimate Yachting Challenge, the Round New Zealand two handed race has only been held once before.
Starting on the 25th of February 2012
Leg 1 Auckland to Mangonui
Leg 2 Mangonui to Stewart Island
Leg 3 Stewart Island to Napier
Leg 4 Napier to Auckland
In recent days, Rob and I have been keenly discussing the possibility of entering. Both of us believe that we could have little better preparation than over 1000 nm we have currently sailed together and the racing we have committed to in the current season.
To be eligible to enter the Round New Zealand race, we need to complete the Round North Island successfully, and further prepare Coppelia, both goals that we are working towards every day.
