We have just passed Channel Island on our way to Cuvier. EXPEDITION kite up, boat speed ~ 8 knots heading straight down the line at Cuvier. Things did not pan out so well for us this morning, when RIO 100 unfortunately hooked our kite halyard round their prod, dragging it off the boat. The kite had to be cut, and their bowman did the honors. Sadly this means we are racing a light weather race with no light kite, so things are progressing slower than hoped.
Chris has done fabulous work with the food, and is getting ready to make a platter with crackers and salmon.
Midnight Express is to leeward, but a head, hopefully we can chase them down.
