Rob and Sally to depart Golden Bay Monday @ 10am

After much discussion we have decided to depart Golden Bay at 10am on Monday. Truxton and Danaide have left but we are concerned about the predicted weather in two days time and a slightly later departure will mean a better run.

We have spent the day finishing our boat work and when were about to leave, we found that we have issue with the end of the boom, thankfully it is easy to fix in port, but could have resulted in our mainsail outhaul and both reefs becoming unusable.

  1. You are doing so well guys, once again a crappy second leg. All the very best for the trip to Stewart Island, hopefully the front coming won't be too bad. Thoughts are with you both :-) Kindest regards Murray and Jill Hartley
