We are now only 32 nm from the finish, I so can;t wait to get there. We are under code zero sailing towards Black Rock Point, then a 40 deg bear away to head towards Oban.
Good evening Sally and Rob, congratulations on your 2nd leg. Great sailing and good judgement along the way. Hope you get plenty of rest for body and mind and some good food as fuel for your bodies for the 3rd leg. Take care and good luck for the 3rd leg. Marie and Charles
Sally, I've been negotiating with Neptune Re: wind and sea conditions. Neptune seems to be losing interest in tormenting you and Rob. However, my effort to get him to turn his wrath on the lead boats has not payed off yet. I've tried the usual burnt (chilled?) offering of Rum (Mt. Gay). While this worked well in securing used wind instruments (thanks Rob), Neptune is holding out for the more biblical first born male child offering. This seems pretty extreme, so I'm thinking of bringing in professional mediators. I'll let you know how it goes. Chris
