October

PA222822-1

Today there is  only 153 days until we start the Round New Zealand Race. Sounds like a lot, but we have a large number of things to do…

October is going to be another busy month with:

  • Finishing my diesel maintenance classes.
  • Rob delivering Dreamcatcher back from Niue early in the month
  • The Coastal Classic. This year instead of enjoying the festivities in the Bay of Islands, we will be finishing and then continuing back to Auckland, via Great Barrier Island. This will give us a 250 nm non-stop training run.
  • Royal Akarana Yacht Club – Sail Akarana regatta in the last weekend of October, where I will be competing with Neil in the Flying 15.
  • Taking delivery of our brand new Evolution sails spinnaker, with loud EXPEDITION signage. Here is hoping it is windy southerly off the start of the coastal classic so it can be used to full effect!
