Yesterday at 10:13, we crossed the finish line at Westhaven under full main and #1 jib, after a brief attempt at completing the course under gennaker. Our finish time allowed us to win the leg on PHRF for our division, place 2nd overall in the PHRF for all boats, and ultimately win division 3 for the race. We rafted up at the events dock and spent the day with our fellow competitors, family and friends.
We are now both taking it easy. On the first night out I fell while reefing and hit my face on the cockpit side. We have been struggling all leg, as I have been struggling with headaches and fatigue. Rob as he always does took up the slack pushing the boat hard. He is exhausted.
