Back in NZ

Niue to Marsden cove, straight line : 1305nm

Distance sailed, 1441 nm (exactly the same as our distance sailed to get there)

Time 8 days 15 hours, average speed through water 6.9 kt.

We had a safe and uneventful passage, funny though how we got the windiest weather (30-35 kts) of the whole round trip in the last day coming back into NZ, I was very happily how lucky we were that it was blowing from behind us, not the traditional front that you expect to greet you on arrival to NZ waters.

Charles, Marie and I would like to thank Sally for her professional surveillance of the trip. The weather files she provided every day combined with her own observations gave us great confidence with the weather situation and forecast while at sea.

Additionally I would like to thank Sally for the great work she did in updating our website. I continue to be impressed at the material and information that Sally manages to source and supply to our site. It’s just great.
