GFS 100km model output for “start time” Saturday 09:00
The final of the B & G Simrad series starts 09:00 Saturday this weekend. The forecast is for wind… with out rain – which is awesome as my wet weather gear is “in the shop”. Our course for this race depends on wind direction, in a northerly or southerly it will be a sprint out and round Little Barrier Island and back, in a westerly or easterly it is likely to be a course in the inner Gulf.
In the past couple of weeks Rob has made another major push with the boat gear and we have many new toys to make my job easier, from new kite sheets, to more purchases on the backstay. I have been busy with the electronics, resulting in a working Ocean Pilot.
Results wise the series points are as follows:
Boat | Line (total points) | PHRF (total points) |
Coppelia | 5 | 6 |
Witchy Women | 5 | 8 |
Panacea | 14 | 14 |
The Pirate | 14 | 12 |
* only first 4 boats shown, total entries in division 28.
On elapsed time total over two races shorthaul course
Rattle n Rum 28 hours 12 minutes
Coppelia 28 hours 43 minutes
Witchy Women 29 hours 37 minutes
